2 1/2 cups blanched almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup dried dates, pitted and chopped
1/2 cup organic unrefined coconut oil, melted
1/2 cup carob powder
1/2 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Combine the almond flour, baking soda, eggs, maple syrup, dates, coconut oil, carob powder, salt, vanilla, and almond extract in a large bowl and mix well. Pour into a greased 8×8 baking dish. Bake at 350ºF for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and frost with date frosting.
2 cups dried dates, pitted
2 tablespoons organic coconut milk
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until creamy.
